Martin Leestma Martin Leestma
Chairman

Martin Leestma is the Chairman for Forthright. He brings nearly 30 years of top-level strategic business experience to Forthright. Marty’s career has focused on large-scale transformation initiatives with various companies and he has deep experience and expertise across the value creation life cycle, including: formulating the executive agenda, creating and executing high-impact business solutions, and enhancing client capabilities through significant enterprise re-engineering.

From 2003 to 2005, Marty was President, CEO, and Board Member for Retek Information Systems, a publicly traded company that was registered on the NASDAQ.

Marty started his career at Accenture in 1980. He was promoted to Partner in 1991, Managing Partner Minneapolis Products Technology in 1993, Global Managing Partner Retail Technology in 1996, Managing Partner CGS North America 1999, and Global Industry Managing Partner Retail CGS in 2002.

He is actively involved in Social Venture Partners and Genesys Works, where he is currently board chairman. Marty received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management & Computer Sciences from Purdue University.

Daniel Legierski Daniel Legierski
Chief Executive Officer

Daniel Legierski is the Chief Executive Officer at Forthright where he directs corporate initiatives and projects. His duties span the managerial spectrum from general and technological to operational. During his tenure at Forthright, he has led different departments in creating two ground-breaking technology platforms designed to manage the administration of arbitration and mediation cases.

Starting his career in finance and information technology, Daniel began working with Source One Sales as a Marketing Food Broker. He remained the Director of Operations and IT for four years. From there, he spent time at Miller Johnson Steichen Kinnard, Inc. (MJSK) and American Express holding different management positions. Later, Daniel served as Technology Manager at CenterPoint Energy where he led efforts to create, implement and maintain innovative technology platforms to help manage the workflow of their field technicians and call center employees.

Daniel graduated from St. Thomas University, St. Paul, Minn., from the graduate Software Systems Program, and St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn., with a Bachelors of Science in both Finance and Economics. He is a Baldrige Evaluator for the Minnesota Counsel for Quality.

Roberta Mueller Roberta Mueller
Vice President of Human Resources

Roberta Mueller is Vice President of Human Resources at Forthright, responsible for the development and implementation of all HR strategies and policies. She is part of the Executive Team, and actively participates in the strategic planning efforts for the organization. Roberta has over 25 years of experience in building and managing businesses, with over 15 years of experience in human resources management and organizational development. Roberta’s expertise includes talent management, organizational development, strategic planning, employee relations and compliance, training and development and leadership and management coaching.

Prior to assuming her role at Forthright, she designed, developed and launched the start-up plan for a human resources management consulting company, Universal HR Solutions. As President and Lead HR Consultant, she consulted with over 125 small to mid-sized clients on HR related issues, leadership and management coaching, training and development and strategic planning. Before the establishment of Universal HR Solutions, she was the Sr. Branch Manager for the Hennepin County operation of Universal Title Company. Her efforts in managing the operations and sales team more than doubled client growth and revenue for the organization.

Roberta received her Masters degree in Human Resource Development and has earned a Professional Certification in Organizational Development from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). She sits on the Board of Evaluators (2009 and 2010), for the MN Council for Quality, a national program designed to enhance the competitiveness, quality, and productivity of U.S. organizations. She has earned a Training Facilitator Certification with Development Dimensions International (DDI). She is also certified in Lominger’s Leadership Architect program. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), HR Executive Forum, the American Society for Training and Development (MN-ASTD) and the Twin Cities Compensation Network (TCCN). She is a former member of the Eagan Foundation Board of Directors.

Joseph Di Donato Joseph Di Donato
Vice President of the No-Fault Personal Injury Protection Program

Joseph Di Donato is Forthright’s Vice President of the No-Fault Personal Injury Protection Program in New Jersey. In his role, he has executive level responsibility for all aspects of the New Jersey dispute resolution program. Joseph is also pivotal in growing new partnerships with governmental and NGO projects, bringing Forthright’s legal and process management expertise to programs in need of innovation in operational efficiencies.

Joseph began his career in the New Jersey program as the Executive Director in 2004. Prior to that he served as Chief Operating Officer of Aequitas Dispute Resolution, a company he founded. He also has experience arbitrating individual personal injury protection disputes.

Earning his law degree cum laude from New York Law School, and his undergraduate degree in History from Rutgers College, Joseph is admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey and the United States District Court for New Jersey. He is a Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and a Member of the Board of Directors, Dispute Resolution Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Other distinctions in Joesph’s career include holding the office of Mayor in West Milford Township, New Jersey from 2004 through 2007, and before that, Chairman of the West Milford Zoning Board of Adjustment from 1995 to 2003. In 2005, Joseph completed the Wharton School of Business Executive Development Program and is a frequent presenter and panelist at seminars devoted to alternative dispute resolution of insurance claims.
